Everlong on a Fender Mustang LT25
Written for the Mustang LT25 as Fender's owner's manual describes it: 20 amp models and four effect slots.
Everlong Fender Mustang LT25 settings: a starting point
On a Fender Mustang LT25, select the 90S ROCK amp model and start at Gain 5, Treble 6, Bass 5 and Middle 6, with the bridge pickup.
- Gain 5
- Treble 6
- Bass 5
- Middle 6
Gain sits a step under the song's generic 6: 90S ROCK is one of the LT25's high-gain models, and the riff needs its chords to keep their shape. Middle is set from the encoder.
Values as the display shows them, 0 to 10 with one decimal. These are Tonelify's starting points for the LT25, written from the documented rig and Fender's manual. They are not Fender's numbers and not the settings on the record.
Same amp family as the record
Which Fender Mustang LT25 amp model for Everlong?
90S ROCK. The driven parts are Mesa/Boogie Rectifier amps, and Fender bases 90S ROCK on the Mesa Dual Rectifier. That puts the record's amp family in the LT25's list, so the model can do the driving on its own.
ALT METAL is the same amp with a fast gate built in, for when the amp hisses between phrases.
Pick the amp model with the encoder first, then set the knobs. The LT25 has knobs for Gain, Volume, Treble, Bass and Master Volume, and no Middle knob. Fender's manual says Middle is set only from the encoder: press it on the amp model, scroll to MIDDLE and turn.

What the LT25 cannot do for Everlong
The song is in Drop D, and a lowered string carries more bass than the same setting expects. If the riff turns to mush, take Bass down to 4 before you touch the Gain. The clean parts were likely a Vox AC30, which the LT25 has as 60S UK CLN, in a preset of its own.
How to store it on the LT25
Press SAVE once it sounds right. Fender's manual says an unsaved edit reverts when you leave the preset or switch the amp off. Master Volume is not stored in a preset.
What Foo Fighters used on Everlong
Dave Grohl's Gibson guitars in Drop D into Mesa/Boogie Rectifier amps for the driven parts, with a Vox AC30 likely on the clean parts.
